Animation! Pitching Sessions opens call for Latin American projects
It’s time to bring your ideas to life! Animation! Pitching Sessions 2023 has officially opened its call for Latin American animation projects in development or pre-production.
A jury composed of industry professionals will jointly select 7 series projects and 7 feature film projects that will become the official selection to be presented during Animation! Pitching Sessions 2023.
As a finalist you will have the opportunity to present your live pitch at Animation! Pitching Sessions during Ventana Sur, to perfect your presentation skills with the guidance of renowned international coaches and to learn the best strategies and techniques to captivate the audience with your pitch. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to find strategic allies who can finance and collaborate to promote your project at an international level, and you will be able to make your project one of the selected projects that will have the opportunity to be presented at important international markets such as MIFA Annecy, Pixelatl and Quirino Awards.
In addition to these benefits, projects that register with a female director automatically participate in the selection process of the Animation! Mentoring Program for Female Creators. A program that seeks to implement actions in favor of gender parity. Here, a jury of industry experts will select 5 projects that will make up the selection and the selected directors will have the opportunity to access a two-month virtual training with specialists in production, script and pitch; in turn, within the program, they will be able to attend masterclasses and receive feedback from leading industry professionals. The program will also bring together all the directors at the Quirinos Ibero-American Animation Awards in Tenerife and subsequently, one project will be selected to be presented in a special Animation! program at the prestigious MIFA Market in Annecy and all the projects will have the opportunity to make their Pitch at Animation! Ventana Sur 2024, where one project will finally be selected to participate in the all-expenses-paid LALIFF Festival in Los Angeles.
