What kind of projects can qualify for the section?
All Latin American short film projects recognizable within the fantastic and horror genre that complete the online registration form on the Ventana Sur website are eligible to participate.
When can I submit my project?
The call for entries opens every year from August to September.
Does it cost anything to register a project?
No, registration is free of charge.
How many projects will be selected?
The jury will select up to 5 projects that will be part of the FANTASMATICA selection.
Who will select the finalist projects?
The finalist projects will be selected by a committee composed of international industry specialists.
When will the finalist projects be announced?
The finalist projects will be announced once the call for proposals has ended.
When and how will the meetings and consultancies take place?
The finalist projects will be part of FANTASMATICA’s selection and will have access to special meetings and activities. These will be held online prior to the start of the market and in person between November 27th and December 1st during Ventana Sur 2023. For this, the selected projects must have at least one representative at the market to attend the activities planned by FANTASMATICA.
What language will the communication during the meetings be in?
Both the pitch and the interaction with the specialists and jurors will be entirely in English.
